Culture For A Cause was formed by Stephanie Barksdale with business partner Jacque Williams in 2015 to serve as a catalyst to advance arts and cultural activities in Northwest Connecticut. With a mission to building community through music and the arts, they see Culture For A Cause as a pathway to assisting local entities in raising awareness and funds for their specific causes.
Being a music producer and “starving artist”, Jacque feels strongly that adding a musical component could help to strengthen collaborations between non-profits and their communities and expand an entity’s outreach, thereby increasing their audience. When it comes to raising awareness, music and/or art can be a useful tool in the non-profit toolbox.
Culture For A Cause is a 501(c) (3) organization and the fiduciary agent for the cable access show City Views. Integrating City Views into the community outreach objectives of C4C allows them to engage the community in a social media platform that will be more inclusive and diverse. These opportunities do not present themselves very often, so C4C wants to be ready to demonstrate the power of collaboration when they do.
Culture for a Cause looks forward to providing the type of presence that highlights the positive, innovative and emerging concepts that are making this area rich in its grassroots and organic endeavors.
